The story was based on Ms Alison's storyboard plan about her dog Romeo and cat Clarence.
We randomly selected students names and they thought of an interesting sentence to add to the story .. following the ideas of the plan.
Here is our example story.
Romeo the chocolate poodle was staring out of the window of Apartment 7A. He was looking at people in the street below. He was wondering when his mother was coming home. He was bored and a bit lonely. He put his chin on the ledge and puffed.
He turned back and looked around the apartment. He saw Ravy, the housekeeper cooking a curry in the kitchen. He wandered up to her and sat by her feet. He looked up at her with his cutest face begging for some chicken. Ravy ignored him.
Romeo saw Clarence the cross eyed cat sitting on the couch. He jumped at Clarence wanting to play. Clarence roared and reached out his paw. Romeo jumped back in horror and just avoided being scratched. He saw his food bowl filled with kibble he leaned over to have a bite.
He looked up from his bowl and saw the front door was open. He ran towards the door and slipped outside. He looked around and saw some stairs. He bounded up the stairs. He could smell some flowers and thought he must be near the wild. He continued his adventure, searching for the flowers. Suddenly he lost the scent. He stopped and sat very still.
He realized that he was lost. He whimpered quietly.
He sniffed the air and concentrated. He smelled a faint trace of his mother. He padded towards the stairs and looked down. He started to run down the stairs, stopping every few moments for a sniff. He felt confident and knew if he followed the smell he would be safe.
Romeo ran to the pool area. He saw his mother reading a book while reclining on a deck chair. He leapt into her arms and licked her face. He was filled with joy. His mother jumped in shock. What was Romeo doing out of the apartment? She cuddled him, held him close and took him back home. Clarence smiled as they came back inside and let Romeo sit next to him on the couch.
They will continue tomorrow and then edit.
