All student completed the Math homework task which was AWESOME!
The students are starting to develop a better understanding of what a millimeter, centimeter, meter look like. Their estimates are becoming much more accurate.
We also started thinking about measuring the weigh of objects. The students made some estimates of the weight of objects and will check the accuracy of their predictions for Math homework in the coming week
.
We will measure many items using a range of scales next week, and get a better understanding of what 1 gram, 100 grams, 500 grams and 1 kilogram might look like.
The students weighed themselves using the large scales in the nurses office to help their understanding. I told the students I weigh 70 kgs which is double many of their weights and the same as 70 - 1 kg bags of sugar.
