Personification poetry

Today we worked with Ms Marcelle and wrote a personification poem as a class.
We started with a simple one. We wrote a poem about the word 'happy'.

Happy is a joyful and delightful boy.
He likes to make an appearance when you play games or when you are outside.
Or when you are reading an extremely cool book.

Happy will make you put your hands up into the air.

He will make you smile.

He will say "lets have a tickle fight!"
Happy will ask "do you want more laughter in your life?"

Happy's sister Jolly is also hilarious, chirpy and gleeful.
Together they fight seriousness and depressed.

Happy will not say something unfriendly like "you're ugly".
Happy will always say "lets go wrestle!" ,"lets go camping!"
Or "Wanna eat some marshmallows!"

The students then worked in pairs and created a personification poem about one of the IB Attitudes.
We are very familiar with the attitudes and could easily find synonyms and antonyms for each word.
