Ms Rachel - Where do we find poetry?

Ms Rachel worked with us this morning.
Where do we find poetry?
We brainstormed how we can find poems by opening different doors.

• The concerns of the world door
• The wonder door
• The heart door
• The Observation door
• The Memory door

The students wrote down their ideas and responded to others ideas. 

They then considered some big ideas they may use to write poems. 

ie ... I am interested in writing a poem about pollution and trash. 

We are destroying our environment. The land, the oceans re all being polluted. 

We need to stop people creating trash and throwing trash away. 

I want to write a poem with a strong message.
