Reconstructing narrative texts

The Grade 4 students worked in small groups putting together narrative stories.
They discussed what goes at the start of the story, middle and end. They then highlighted key features of the story re read them to make sure they made sense.

At the end of the lesson the students created a checklist for narrative writing.
The students will use this checklist to edit and self assess their writing next week.
