In Math the students drew images to match fraction symbols.
They discussed similarities with fractions and worked together to place them on a number line from 0-1.
When students were not sure where the fraction went they would ask ... is is bigger or smaller than 1/2. What other fractions are nearby? Are they bigger / smaller?
We also played some flipper multiplication games. Jayco selected number 11 for when we flip an Ace. We used this opportunity to look at strategies to use to multiply 11.
