Collectively they came with a list of do's and don'ts with examples.
The students then formed small groups and selected a viewpoint to present to the class.
They brainstormed all the arguments to support their stance and decided on the three strongest arguments.
Each student selected one argument to focus on and wrote a paragraph stating the argument and evidence.
Tomorrow the students will read their first attempts at persuasive writing to the class.
We will consider POWERFUL words we can use to make our arguments even better.
