	Reading 1.Remember to read for at least 15 minutes everyday and record the time/pages you have read  in your reading log. 2.Check out Ms. Ann’s Library blog. If you scroll down you will see a suggested reading list for Grade 3-5. These suggestions were made by students last year. I would like to you consider some of these suggestions for your next book choice. I would also like you to add your recommendations to the list. 3. If you have a suggestion you would like to add bring me the Title and author. I will help you add the book cover suggested by you to the padlet. 	Blogs - Attitudes during “Shape of a Leader” unit. 1. How have you displayed the following attitudes Co-operation, Independence and Commitment since the start of the year?. Write three paragraphs - one about each attitude with supporting details telling how you have displayed it. You can write these directly onto your blog … but remember to write a paragraph not just a sentence. Also remember to edit your writing before publishing. Incorrect punctuation and grammar distracts the reader and makes your writing difficult to read. You can add a photograph / image that supports your reflections. 2. If you have completed your 3 reflections and would like to add further reflections on your blog about your Leader presentation or other school activities please do so. You can also look at other students blogs and make constructive comments using our agreed format (see format reminder on the class blog).
	U O I - How We Express Ourselves Next week we will be starting a new unit “Art Mirrors Life” and are gathering resources. Does your family know anyone who can help inspire us (a painter, a writer, a photographer, etc). The Grade 4 classes are currently organizing field trips and guest speakers for this unit.   Please help us with contacts if you can.

Thursday 24 September	Constitutional Day:  School closed
Friday 25th September	6.00 - 9.00 Lip Synch & Cake Auction. This is event is run by the Secondary school. Elementary student are welcome to attend with their parents. This is a fundraising event. All tickets are $4.
Week of 28 September - 2nd October	Representatives from CIS/WASC/IB will be visiting the school.  Re-accreditation Team Visit.
Wednesday 30th September	5.30pm ISPP Board meeting. Open to the ISPP Community.
Friday 2nd October	PCO event - Back to school get together for parents at The Groove, above Terrazza Italian Restaurant.
