The students familiarized themselves with the powerful words we selected earlier in the week. They created rich persuasive sentences and shared them with their peers.
They also tried writing rhetorical questions.
Don't you know school uniforms are useful?
Do you want to be tortured after school?
The students then tried writing triples - rules of three.
Animals are disgusting, ridiculous and messy.
Homework is nasty, evil and torturous.
Finally we tried alliteration to make our sentences more powerful and interesting.
She was bright, bold and beautiful.
