Today we discussed wind energy in class and watched some inspirational TED talks on the subject.
None of the students chose to focus on Wind energy for their independent research project so we will explore this energy form in more detail as a class.
Saul Griffith told us about the kites throughout history and how we may be able to use this 'simple child's toy' to create energy on a large scale in the future.

We also listened to Malawian inventor William Kamkwamba. When William was 14 years old he built his family an electricity generating windmill from spare parts, working from rough plans he found in a library book.
