How to embed on blogs

Today Mr Matt reviewed shrinking videos and saving them on G drive. 

He also explained how we can embed these documents onto our blogs.

Here are the instructions in case students forget a step.

We practiced today and students uploaded some short videos onto their blogs. 

How to embed on your blog (from G-drive)

1. Search for video by file on you G-drive (type: video)
2. All your video’s will be listed. Select the one you want to embed
3. We recommend that you rename your document after you upload to G drive. This makes it easier to find the right video. Ie change IMG 0077 to ‘Shouting video’
4. Open new tab - your blog and create a new post.
5. Go back to G drive tab
6. Click (Open) button then click (embed item) from drop down box :
7. Copy the HTML code
8. Go back to blog (HTML view) and paste the code
9. It is now embedded into your post.

If it is too big …

1. Read the HTML code.
2. You can change the height and width within the code.
3. IE Change Width 640 to 540 pixels, change height 480 - 360 pixels

How to embed a G doc or presentation

1. Open G drive and find the presentation you are looking for (type:presentation)
2. Select the one you want to load
3. (file menu) - (publish to the web)
4. Choose (embed)
5. Choose the size of pixels - ie Small
6. (publish)
7. Are you sure (Yes)
8. See code and copy
9. (HTML view) paste code
10. Adjust height & width if you want
11. Compose
