In Math we have been exploring different strategies to use when solving large number subtraction.
The students looked at visual models, watched tutorials, tried strategies and accurately answered a few questions on their own.
As with large number addition and multiplication there is no one correct way the students need to answer these questions. The students need to find the way that makes sense for them. A strategy they can use to find the answer independently.
We also worked with Ms Ashley talking about problem solving. The students performed role plays using Gecko solutions to deal with small problems.
