Measurement

This week we started our new unit on Measurement.

The students created mind maps showing their knowledge and understanding of measurement.
I will use this information to guide instruction and activities in the coming week.
We also started looking at some of the vocabulary we will be using and the students wrote definitions and drew illustrations to show meaning.

We will start with an inquiry into time. How we measure time and why these tools are important in our everyday life. Many students can read digital and analogue clocks and have an understanding of how we record time. In the coming week we will review these skills and start working on word problems involving time.
