Addition strategies

This week we have been exploring different Addition strategies.

• Regrouping
• Using place value
• Number line
• Column / Vertical 

We will continue this next week and also start looking at subtraction strategies.

The students will work out which strategy they prefer to use and which strategies are more efficient and accurate.

Here are some examples of strategies the students can use.

We also solved our homework problems together. There are many ways we can solve these problems. We just need to read the question carefully and try to work out what it is asking us to do.
