Welcome back / Homework and events this week

Tomorrow we are back to school.
I hope you all had a wonderful break. I can't wait to hear about your adventures.


Here is the homework for the first week back and info about what is on each day.
Note: Friday we are out on an all day field trip.

Reading : Personal Reading
Enjoy reading 15 - 20 minutes a day and record your reading in your reading log when you get to school.
Mathematics[edit]   
Maths - Focus on basic facts.  
Continue working on your basic facts goals. You will be pretested on Monday.
You will receive a quiz on Friday to see if you have achieved your goal.
Use Mathletics Live, Front row  and other strategies that have been discussed
in class to help you (flipper, dice game, buzz, flip cards).
Coding, Bisnis, Bekerja
Technology  
Keep working to improve your level in Code Combat.
Interview, Job, Icon
UOI - Belief Systems - Adult Interview
  • Make a time to interview an adult in your life. it could be in any language. This could be face to face, on Skype or via email or chat.
  • Use the sample questions we created in class to gather information about this person's beliefs.
  • Record keywords / notes during the interview.
  • Once you have finished the interview, write up 1-2 paragraph(s) in English on your blog explaining what you found out.

Questions we came up with in class to guide your interview ...

  • What do you believe in? Why?
  • Are your beliefs the same as your family? friends?
  • How do you practice your beliefs?
  • Do your beliefs affect the decisions you make and your actions? If yes - How?
  • Have your beliefs changed over the years or are they the same? Why?
  • Do you worship a God / Gods? 
  • Do you have a formal religon with rules and practices?
