Biographies

We have been watching brain pop videos and reading biographies about famous people. We have found out many interesting facts about their lives and have been thinking about the characteristics that make these people great leaders.

We now know that ...

  • Queen Elizabeth's father was King Henry VIII.
  • Eleanor Roosevelt was a social worker and taught classes to poor children.
  • Martin Luther King Jnr won the Nobel peace Prize.
  • Abraham Lincoln stopped slavery and was shot and killed.
  • Albert Einstein did not talk until he was three years old and was kicked out of school.
We will borrow a new batch of biographies from the library tomorrow so the students can read more stories about famous leaders throughout the world.
