Reading
You will read a book of your choice for 20 + minutes each day at home.
You will also ask a family member or friend to take a photo of you reading. You can be in a favorite reading place or doing something a bit more unusual.
Email me a copy of your picture - getting caught reading.

Unit / Writing - Adult Interview
Make a time to interview an adult in your life. it could be in any language. This could be face to face, on Skype or via email or chat.
Use the questions in your homework book to gather information about this person's beliefs.
Record keywords on the template.
Once you have finished the interview, write up a paragraph(s) in English in your homework book. (One paragraph minimum for grade 4 and two paragraphs minimum for grade 5) explaining what you found out.

Writing - Venn diagram
Choose a friend, it could be a person who you meet this week or your oldest and dearest friend. Over the course of this unit you will be asked to compare different things using a Venn Diagram. This activity is to help you practice.
Write your name above one circle
Write the name of your friend above the other circle
Can you find a minimum of 5 things that you have in common? Write or illustrate them in the middle of the diagram.
Now list a minimum of 5 things that are different about the two of you.
