The students have been reflecting about the NGO's from the fair they would like to support.
Three students - Ella, Molly and Carlota all expressed interest in helping the Deaf Development Program.
The girls suggested that we raise awareness in the school. We learn some sign language first and then teach 2/3 classes and our buddies.
They have timed their plan perfectly. Next week is Deaf awareness week in Cambodia. We have invited the DDP to come to school and teach the 4/5 students on Monday afternoon. The 4/5 students will then make signs to display in the school and teach younger students throughout the week.
By the end of the week all the staff and students at ISPP will be aware of the DDP and know a few signs (Cambodian sign language).
Well done to Ella, Molly and Carlota for coming up with a great idea to help an NGO in Cambodia.
