Home Learning Activities Grade 4/5 – MS ALISON Due: Thursday 4th September

	Reading You will read a book of your choice for 20 + minutes each day at home. You will record your reading each morning in the classroom.
	Unit / Writing Brainstorm ideas of what you value Chose 6 values and add these to the coat or arms in your homework book with a picture or symbol Write a sentence explaining how this value affects your actions and behavior.
	Math - Practising math skills This week we have introduced a third program you can use for math practice - Mathletics. You can use any of the three programs listed below to help you practice your Math skills. After the testing in class last week you know what you need to work on. IXL, Frontrow, Mathletics Spend 30+ minutes this week (no calculator) working on Number and Place value questions. I will get class reports and follow your progress.
	Belief Vocabulary You have a list of Unit words in your homework book. For each word write a sentence that shows you understand the meaning. You will share your sentences with the class on Thursday
	Oral presentation On Thursday you will share two of your personal values with the class. You will also share the sentences you wrote for unit words.
