Showing confidence with multiplication

The Grade 4 students have been practicing the grid method of multiplying large numbers.
They are becoming more confident using this method.

Many students understand the procedure and can add all the numbers but get a bit stuck in single number multiplication. Many pause while they try to calculate 7x8 or 6x9.

We will continue to focus on practicing multiplication as Math homework in the coming weeks.
It would help the students with their understanding of large number multiplication and division if they are confident when answering single digit multiplication sums. Each week the students are choosing one multiple to focus on.

Many are working on their x7 tables this week.
