Home learning tasks - Due Friday

Read for 15-20 minutes every day.
You will record your reading each morning in the classroom.

Shape of a leader - Write this up as a blog post
Interview your parents.
Ask your parents about a leader in your community or home country.
Who is the leader?
Describe 2 attributes / characteristics of this leader with examples.
Look at Ms Alison’s example below

Find an interesting fact about a country you have visited. The fact must involve a 6 - 7 digit number (see example below).
Write your number and interesting fact on a card.
On Friday we will all show the class our fact and read our number.

Music - Find 1 or 2 people and ask them the following questions
What 4 words do you think of when you think of Phnom Penh?
What 4 words do you think of when you think of ISPP?
Record the answers and bring them to your next music class (you can write this  to your blog as well  - be creative with it)

Example of Leader from your home Country

Peter Garrett is an Australian musician, environmentalist, activist and former politician.
Garrett was the lead singer of the rock band Midnight Oil.

  1. Peter Garrett is creative. He co wrote songs and was the vocalist for the very popular band Midnight Oil. Many of his songs were political and had a strong message.

      An example - Beds are burning by Midnight Oil
      - A political song about giving native Australian lands back to the Pintupi people.


     2. Politician - Member of Parliament / Australia 2007 - 2013
         Peter Garrett decided to try to create change by joining the Government.
         He was elected to Parliament and worked for the Labor Party. He spoke up for the  l
         Aboriginal People’s land rights and also environmental issues.
