The students tried a number of fraction problems with different fractions. They tried different strategies and decided on two strategies they find makes the most sense to them and are accurate.
The students have been sharing their understanding with other in the class.
Some early finishers also tried more complicated fraction problems.
"If I cut a large cake into 27 pieces and eat a third of the cake, then eat a third of what is left, how many pieces of the cake remain".
