Poetry and performance

In Language we have been busy writing poetry about Phnom Penh.
Jihwan suggested we perform our poems - poetry slam style.

We watched a clip of a young girl performing with Ms Marcelle and created a checklist of what we liked about her presentation. We used this criteria when presenting our poems to the class.

We have also been making postcards using a collage technique like the one used by Ms Mia (our guest artist). 

Our postcards contain symbols, images and words that symbolize Phnom Penh and us. 

We will continue to create the postcards and publish our poems on Monday. 

If students would like to bring in additional pictures or materials from home that they can add to their postcard that would be wonderful.
