A conceptual understanding of perimiter and area
The Grade 4 students have been practicing calculating perimeter and area using string, unit cubes, rulers and checking their results using calculators.
They have shown they have a good understanding of perimeter and have also worked out short cuts (multiplication of length and width) to calculate the area of an object.
