Appreciating our classmates

The Grade 4 students thought about what they do to be kind, caring and supportive in the class this week. They reflected on their own behaviors and considered ways they could change to be more supportive of other students when they work in groups, are solving difficult problems or sharing their thinking.

The students reflected on all the qualities they like about their peers. They wrote short notes about each person in the class.

We chopped these up and distributed an envelope of 'warm fuzzies' to each student this afternoon.
It is nice to know how much you are liked and appreciated by friends and classmates.
