Students teaching other students

The Grade 4 students used the word mats they created to teach each other new words.

They sat in pairs and took it in turns to describe the word, synonyms and put the word in sentences.
They then swapped words and changed groups so they could teach another classmate their new word.

We repeated this activity until the students had discussed most of the new words we will be using in the coming weeks of Marketplace.
