Reflection and review of Charlottes Web

We finished Charlottes Web today and reviewed the book.
We discussed favorite characters, favorite parts of the book, made connections and talked about who we would recommend this book to.

My favorite part of the book was …..

When Wilbur met Charlotte. I feel happy when someone meets a new friend.

When Mr Zuckerman dreamed that Wilbur was one hundred and sixteen feet long and ninety-two feet high. He won all the ribbons at the fair, was covered in blue ribbons and even had a blue ribbon tied to his tail.

When the Zuckerman’s were making jokes when Wilbur won first place.

When Wilbur thinks he can spin a web like Charlotte. He ties string on his tail and jumps in his manure pile.

When Wilbur goes to the fair and wins the ‘Strong and good pig’ award.
When the spiders were born and all came out waving.

When Templeton eats Wilbur’s meals and gets really fat. Everyone tells him he will die soon if he keeps eating so much but he does not care “don’t want to live forever”.
The last chapter when the warm wind blew and the baby spiders started to leave on their parachutes.

When Charlotte’s babies were leaving and going wherever the wind took them. They were free.

When Wilbur said a speech to the three spiders that stayed with him. They pledged their friendship to him. It was a very happy ending because Wilbur did not die and had friends.

When Avery was acting like a clown. He is very funny. This book made me happy and made me sad.

Response to the book ……

I think this is a great book because it tells us that when you help people life is much easier.
