We are still reading Charlottes Web in class. We are currently in the midst of Chapter 19.
Charlotte has just produced her egg sac with 514 baby spiders – her Magnum Opus (great work).
We will be finishing the book in the next few days as we have less than 40 pages left to read. We will then watch the movie and make comparisons with the way the story is told, characters portrayed and whether the images match those in our minds.
If you object to you child watching the movie please let me know.
The film was made in 2007 and has a G rating.
The girl Fern is played by Dakota Fanning, Charlotte is voiced by Julia Roberts. There are other famous voices for animals on the farm. These include Robert Redford, John Cleese and Oprah Winfrey.
