Class market

The Grade 4/5 students have decided to create a class market as a practice for their own project.

They started by brainstorming ideas of what we could sell.
They then did market research and asked all the Grade 4/5 students for their opinion re what they would purchase and what they would pay for the items.

We tallied up all the votes and the two most popular items were fruit icy pops and cookies.
We then worked out the average recommended price (mean) and most popular price (mode) to set the prices for these two items.

The students will create a shop this Thursday. Their customers will be the other students in Grade 4/5. They will sell Fruit Icy pops for $1 each and Cookies for $2 each (if cookies are very small - 2).

Tomorrow the students will create advertising campaigns for their products and the shop managers will work out the logistics of the sale.

Please speak to your parents and see if you can also bring cookies to sell.
The more cookies we have the more profit we can make.
