Today we reviewed recount writing.
The students will be writing an end of year writing sample next week. We reflected on what a good recount looks like and looked over the checklist we used at the start of the year.
The students read a range of recounts in pairs and used the checklist to identify what was good about the writing and how it could be improved. They selected their favorite three pieces of writing from the samples and read them to the class.
