Personal reading
15-20 minutes each day and record your reading in your reading log each day.
Do some background research on the author of the book you are reading in literature circles this week. Where are they from? Does the story connect to their own experiences? If yes how? If not - where did they get the idea for the story? How many books have they written? Have you read any of their other books? If yes - did you enjoy them? If not - do you want to read them in the future?
Have your ideas ready to share on Thursday with the other students in your literature circle,

Math
Practice the multiplication strategy we tried in class today.
It is called the Area model, Window method or Table method. If you have forgotten how to set out the model look at the examples posted in the class blog.
Try 27 x 46, 38 x 29, 58 x 22, 47 x 66, 52 x 37.
Check you answer with a calculator and be ready to demonstrate your understanding in class during the week.
