All students reflected on their own research, writing and presentation. They also completed a 2 stars and a wish reflection. What have they done well and what could they do better next time.
The Grade 4 students can add their self assessment and reflection to their own blog.

1) I used research techniques that I learned in this unit to gather knowledge on my subject.

I took very few notes on this issue from less than three sources. I did not write down all of the addresses, titles, and authors on my note taking sheets.

I took notes from more than three sources, but my notes were in sentence and paragraph form. I included the address, title, and author of sources on my note taking sheets. I included a summary, but it was not concise.

I took notes on from at least five sources. My notes were written in shorthand with bullet points. All note sheets included the address, title, and author of the source.

My report was very simple or not entirely finished. I had only one or no visuals and insufficient content.

3) When I presented to the class I used an appropriate voice and was able to answer questions.

My voice lacked confidence and I was not easily able to answer questions on my chosen topic.

My voice was clear, but I was unsure of how to answer questions appropriately due to insufficient knowledge of my chosen subject. This is because I did not prepare adequately beforehand.

I was confident in my presentation skills through use of a clear voice and knowledge of my subject area. I was able to clearly answer each question, as I prepared well beforehand.

This is the last day of our fourth Unit - Belief systems.
On Monday we will be starting our new Unit of Inquiry - Peace and Conflict
