Enjoy reading 15 - 20 minutes a day and record your reading in your reading log when you get to school.
Reading the news
There are a lot of things happening in the news at the moment related to peace and conflict. Here are 4 different news websites for kids. Take a look at them and read current news for 30+ mins. Select two articles related to peace / conflict and write a one paragraph summary of each article and your response (do you agree / how do you feel about it) on your blog.

Update your blog with posts about your news broadcast, peace quote, you chosen peacemaker, peace poem and a news summaries.
Make sure each post has a minimum one paragraph reflection and pictures or movie or link attached.
If you completed all these tasks you can also continue to practice your skills with Planet green and Codecombat.

Unit - Peace Poetry
Select a poem about peace, post it on your blog (with the author’s name and why you have chosen it).Practice reading it aloud, you will present your poem to the class on Friday 4/3.
Unit - Peacemakers of the World
There are a lots of people who have dedicated their lives to peace all over the world. Choose a person who inspires you. Summarize why the person is a peacemaker using the 5Ws: Who? What? Where? When? Why? Put your summary on a slide (in the class Google slides presentation shared with you - if there is a slide on your person - choose another peacemaker). Also post your summary and picture of your chosen peacemaker on your blog.
