Exploring energy sources

The students worked in groups and created informative posters explaining different forms of energy.
They did research for homework and shared their ideas with the class.

We discussed what the form of energy is, how it works, whether it is renewable or not.
We also discussed the advantages and disadvantages of each energy source.

Next week the students will start their Summative project. They have selected an energy form they are interested in learning more about. They will research this energy form in small groups and then write an explanation showing their understanding. 

They will prepare a presentation using technology, models, images, display, an experiment ... whatever they need to help a Grade 3 students understand the energy form. 

We will invite the Grade 3 students to our classroom in the last week to watch the explanations. 

The students can chose to create their own presentation or work in a small group.
